Growing up, I didn’t just hear these songs — I lived with them. They drifted through our home late at night, echoed from studio speakers, and were shaped and reshaped at the kitchen table. To the world, he was Jon English — performer, songwriter, storyteller. To me, he was Dad: endlessly curious, fiercely passionate, always chasing the next melody.
This collection uncovers the hidden corners of his musical life — demos, B-sides, rare recordings, collaborations and electric live moments that reveal the craftsman behind the spotlight. You can hear ideas taking flight, the humour and grit in lesser-known tracks, and the restless creativity that fuelled him.
What strikes me most now is how timeless his spirit remains. Every song carries that unmistakable energy — bold, melodic and full of heart. It’s a privilege to share these rarities with you.
